I made a Bloody Mary for @GameCouch on Memorial Day, since all I’ve done the past few months was brag about the last time I made them :P @WalnutHulls asked for the recipe (although I’m not sure if she was serious or not), and I figured what the hell… might as well! Here goes: 1 to 1.5 oz vodka (I used Ketel One for this round) 1 cup V8 Hot and Spicy juice (low sodium works, if you’re concerned about your salt intake) A few dashes of worcestershire sauce A few dashes of garlic powder A bit of celery salt A few dashes of Tobasco sauce Optional things A few dashes of Sriracha (I think I used 1/2 tsp in mine, though) 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of horseradish paste Bacon strips, pickles, and hard boiled eggs as garnishes A Miller High Life beer chaser Put the vodka and the juice in first, and add the ingredients a few at a time. Mix it up and give it a taste - if it’s spicy enough for you before you get to the optional ingredients, put some ice in it and have at it! If you like heat, like I do, then follow through with the rest of the list. I don’t know if the beer chaser is a Midwest thing or not, but it’s not really a Bloody Mary without one, IMO. And done! It’s a drink and a meal, all in one!
